The Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation (KACPF) is the charitable affiliate of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Association (KACP). It is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit foundation, established in 2009 to solicit, receive, administer and expend funds for law enforcement-related charitable and educational purposes.

Structure

Tax deductible gifts can be made to the Foundation to carry out its charitable and educational programs and activities. The Foundation is governed by a Board ofDirectors made up of current and former members of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Association, other active chief law enforcement officers, interested citizens and corporate and community leaders.

Mission

The mission of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation is to support, provide and assist in the professional development of law enforcement executive training, police supervisory and command training, and other police related training. The Foundation is also committed to providing opportunities for recruiting and supporting members of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to enter the law enforcement profession and to support other charitable endeavors which serve Kentucky’s law enforcement community and the public at large.

Goals

The Foundation strives to collaborate with corporate partners, private associates, KACP members, and other organizations to accomplish the following goals:

  • Sponsor the annual KACP Training conference;
  • Sponsor executive, command and supervisory training and education programs for law enforcement officials;
  • Support programs that enhance and promote professionalism and ethics in Kentucky law enforcement;
