Given the global impact of COVID-19, KACP has made the tough decision to postpone our annual training and vendor show.
In making this decision, we considered feedback from members, conference participants, state and local guidance on large gatherings, budgetary and travel restrictions placed on police agencies, and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control. In addition, our insurance company communicated that any COVID related issues stemming from the conference would not be covered thus exposing a liability risk to our association. This decision was made for the safety of our attendees, their families, and their communities.
If the pandemic situation in Kentucky improves then we will look at other options later in the year.
Watch for further updates regarding conference refunds.
I would like to thank Chief Monroe and his staff for all the hard work they have done, and I am confident the conference would have been a tremendous success despite the many obstacles they faced.
